Louisiana Grid
For more than three decades the Center for Security Policy has been providing uncompromised analysis and unconventional solutions to keep Americans safer. The Center’s Secure the Grid Coalition has supported leaders at all levels of government with addressing threats to our nation’s electric grid as we consider it a critical asset to our national security.
The Coalition has developed this webpage at the request of citizens and elected leaders in Louisiana to inform and assist the state with addressing the vulnerabilities of its electric grid to electromagnetic spectrum threats such as solar weather, intentional electromagnetic interference, and nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
What follows is an educational briefing and educational primer that has been developed specifically for Louisiana. The roughly 40-min briefing utilizes materials provided to top-level leaders in other states, including Texas, and to leaders in the federal government.
